Why it matters

How Heart & Home Videos Create an Emotional Connection

Heart & Home videos use a more personal storytelling style to help a listing feel memorable and emotionally connected.

This Realiant Media Minute gives agents, property owners, or building
professionals a concise explanation they can use when planning media or
working with Realiant Photography.

A traditional listing video documents the property. A Heart & Home video adds people, moments, and a sense of life inside the home so buyers can connect with more than rooms and finishes.

The goal is to make the product, process, and practical value easier to
understand before the next project.

Realtors, I cannot wait to show you this latest product. I’m Scott Kemp with Realiant Photography. This is Realiant Media Minute, and today we’re going to talk about Heart and Home videos. Normally, when we create real-estate video, we move through the house with a gimbal, add background music and titles, and present the property.

We wanted to take a different approach for this format. Buying a house can be an emotional decision, so we wanted the video to acknowledge that emotion. And we want to realize that, pay homage to it. It can’t be any more emotional than buying a house.

So we wanted to make a video that kind of spoke to that and called out that emotion. So I can’t wait to show you this because it is a good selling point. What’s different about this is we film it very cinematically. So it feels like a movie.

We put some treatments on it to make it very filmic. We put these songs that we have created and we’ve created like 20 of them. You’re going to hear one of them here today and they’re very touching. You hear the lyrics and the melodies and they’re basically like earworms.

They get in your ear and they won’t get out. And why is that a good thing for you as a seller? Because the buyers watch these videos and they’re going to want to watch it again and again and again because it makes you kind of emotional. I mean, it activates an emotional part of your brain and that song is going to get hooked in them.

That emotional connection may encourage buyers to learn more about the property before a showing. And it’s great for your seller too because they’re going to have this memento of their home in a very special, emotional, musical way and that’s going to be great for them. It’s a great client gift to give them. So I can’t wait to show you.

I’m going to give you a little preview of one of them we’ve done and you’re going to be able to order these off our website and we just love to do them. Tell me what you think here. Here we go.

Step through the doorway, felt it right away, a quiet kind of night of day, every window detail, saying something new in the sky, new chapter coming alive, this is where the good after settling, every wall becomes a part of the story written in our heart, every wall becomes a part of the story. So I just love that.

You know, I am that guy that’s going to occasionally cry at a movie. I just love feeling things. I just enjoy that part of life and those videos touch me, the music touches me. We’ve got so many songs and like I said, each one is more addictive than the last one.

And I show my wife used to be realtor and she said if I had one of those, I would have done one of those videos for every listing I had. So I think you guys will like it. We’d love to try it for you. I think it works best with furnished houses and not empty houses, but we’ll do it either way for you.

So if you’ve got one that you’ve staged or you’ve got one that still has a client furniture in it or the seller’s furniture, that would be a great one to do this with. I think you’ll agree that they’re pretty cool, and we can’t wait to get the word out. If you’re watching this, the word is out. Contact Realiant Photography through our website.

Again, I’m Scott Kemp with Realiant Media Minute. Thank you.
