What is the Realiant Way? Hi, I’m Scott Kemp, owner of Realiant Photography, and I’m here to tell you. If I had to sum it up, I would say the Realiant Way is about building long-lasting relationships with our Realtor clients and supporting their success.
My wife was a Realtor for a few years, and I could see how hard the industry is: late-night calls, weekend calls, weekend showings, and open houses. It is a lot of work, and I want to help agents in the industry they have chosen. So, you know, it’s not about the money for me.
I’ve had past careers where I’ve made a lot more money than I’m doing now, and I could go back and do that, but I sat behind a desk and I typed all day, and that’s no fun. So, I love this, I love getting out and meeting people and working with employees and working with agents, and that’s just so important to me.
You know what I hear a lot of times in Reddit threads and Facebook forums for real estate photographers is they don’t want the realtors to be there at the shoot, and they don’t want the homeowners to be there to shoot, because why?
Because it takes too much time, and they get in the way, and they start talking to them, and they just want to be in and out, and I specifically instruct my photographers and myself get to know the agents, build relationships with the agents. It’s so important. This is a relationship-based industry.
We don’t want to just be a commodity where they order it and they show up and we get the pictures, or you get the pictures, and there’s no relationship there. We want that connection to you guys, and that is so important to me, and so we are not that way at all.
It’s important that my team are personable photographers and capable photographers, because they’re in your client’s homes. They are in their intimate spaces, and you need to trust that and trust them, and I need to trust it and trust them. We do background checks on all our photographers. In fact, I do it on myself too, and thank goodness there’s no surprises there.
I didn’t know about, but we’re also fully insured. We come in, we’re wearing branded clothing. We’re very professional, and that’s what you want to see. That’s what the homeowners want to see is that professionalism, but also being personable.
I can’t tell you how many times the seller has given feedback to the realtor that says, oh, they were so nice, and they talked to me, and they got to know me, and I love it. Why is that important? Because it makes you look like a superstar, that you hired a media team that went out there and connected and just made people feel nice, and that’s just so important to me.
My quick background is I was in the software development business, and I sat behind a computer all day, and I made a lot of money, but I didn’t get that people contact I needed, and now I have that, and I’m working with some great staff, and I just love them all. I’ve done photography for 20, 30 years, landscape photography, sold them at tourist shops in Alaska.
I’ve done that, and I make sure that our photographers are also very capable. I have won awards currently on my team that are award-winning photographers, so they have to love photography as well. In closing to our current clients, thank you very much for making us what we are today. We so appreciate you.
You’re so valuable to us. If you’ve used us in the past, we invite you to come back and try again, and we’d love to work for you, and to future clients, give us a try. We’d love the opportunity to earn your business, show you what we can do, and also be very personable, and hopefully make your day a little bit brighter every time we interact with you.
So Scott Kemp, Realiant Photography.
