Realtors, did we just lower our prices in this economy? Yes, we did. I am Scott Kemp, owner of Realiant Photography. This is Realiant Media Minute.

And you might think I’m crazy for lowering our prices. And when everything goes up, right? Milk and bread and beef and plane tickets and everything else. And yeah, you might think I’m crazy.

My wife certainly thinks I’m crazy sometimes. But starting this year, we’ve changed our mindset. And I’ve gone from being a solo shooter and having to do this all myself. And I’ve shot hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of homes.

But in order to really scale, I needed to hire staff and get other photographers doing this with me. And it was important that I hire the right people. They’ve got to be personable. They got to be friendly.

They got to be great photographers. And I found that. And so growing from a solo to a team, that’s so important. That lets me do volume.

And it lets me, because we’re doing volume, lets me lower my prices. And so it’s going to be good for everybody. It’s going to be good for me. It’s going to be good for you guys with lower prices.

And I’m not talking about 5% drop. I’m talking in some cases, 10, 20, 30% off on our previous prices. So it’s really a big deal. In order to make this work, we have to increase our volume.

And we’re ready to do that. So we’ve got three photographers now. We’re in Salem, Eugene, and Corvallis Albany. Of course, we’ll do the coast and those areas around there.

So it is important that we’re holding ourselves to our existing standard. Even though we are increasing the volume, we don’t want our standards to go low. And that is super important to me. I’ve done photography for 20 or 30 years.

I know what looks good. And I’ve won lots of awards doing it. And I’m not going to give you a crappy product if we can say that. So it is important that we have that quality.

So how did we do that? Again, we’re hiring people, we’re improving our processes, we have systems in place that make it really efficient for us to do this, and we’re going to pass those savings on to you. And the cool thing is we have multiple photographers, you have more availability.

And which means if somebody’s booked up, one of our photographers is booked, another one can come in and do that shoot for you. And it gets our mileage fees down because we have one based in Salem now, we have one based in Eugene. And that means you’re paying less mileage costs. And that’s also really cool.

One more thing that we added, not only did we lower our prices, but we’ve offered the ability to have you pay at closing when that house actually sells. So you can defer the cost of your package until your house actually sells. And the cool thing is it’s a win-win because we get paid immediately. you pay at closing.

I mean, how is that not a win? We pay a little bit more in processing fees for that ability, but we’re happy to do that. That lets you guys order the proper media package to sell that home and make a fantastic impression on your seller.

So also, if you’re an agency owner, brokerage owner, we’d love to talk to you, do a meeting and discuss how we can get your agents the best pricing possible. So Scott Kemp, Realiant Photography.
